Stockcharts.com takes the #1 spot for its simplicity, cleanliness, and overall scalability. It is the most widely utilized free stock charting site for financial bloggers and is also the primary charting service used here at StockTradingToGo. The site offers a whole slew of different free tools and ways to analyze any stock chart desired. For investors who want historical charting and further analysis they can upgrade to a paid subscription.

2. Google Finance
Google Finance provides a very clean and scalable charting solution for investors. Two of its great features include the ability to see what key events occurred on major days for the stock being analyzed and the ability to look back in time an analyze a stock's historical performance. Comparing multiple charts or indices by having them overlap is also a breeze.

3. Wikinvest.com
Wikinvest.com offers a totally new and unique way of looking at stock charts. These stocks charts are community driven to provide annotations of when key earnings reports or news hit mainstream causing the stock to move one way or another. What seperates Wikinvest from its peers are the unique and colorful ways inwhich the charts are presented to its users.

4. Yahoo Finance
Yahoo Finance provides a similar charting service to Google Finance just less the extra bullet points highlighting key dates. Yahoo's charting service is clear, easy to use, and very basic. Even though it is not higher on our ranking list one key advantage Yahoo Finance has over its peers is its phenomenal free quotes and analysis. Yahoo Finance will always be #1 in this department.

5. Bigcharts.com
And in fifth we have listed bigcharts.com which is a good overall service just unfortunately plastered with ads. The charts are very simplistic and and get the job done for the average investor. Those that know better though are using one of its peers above.
